His eyes rose to hers in desperate hope.
"Star Trek?" he asked.
She sighed and shook her head for the hundredth time.
"Star Wars," she replied.
He tried again: "Beatles?"
Again: "Rolling Stones."
"Chocolate?"
"Vanilla... This will never work," she said. "Unless... Marvel or DC?"
Anticipating rejection, he winced. Hesitantly: "Dark Horse?"
For the first time that morning, she smiled.
